MEL Expiry Calc (“we”, “our”, “the app”) has no accounts, no servers of our own, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. The free version shows ads, and our advertising partners process device identifiers as described below.
ContactAds (Free Version)
The free version displays banner and occasional full-screen ads. Ads may be served by third parties (for example, Google AdMob). These partners may process device information and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and improve performance. We do not receive or store personally identifying information from ad partners.
The Pro version removes all ads. When Pro is active no ad is requested and no advertising identifier is used.
Personalised Ads and Tracking
To select and measure ads, our advertising partners may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android). Where personalised advertising is enabled, that identifier may be combined with data from other apps and websites for advertising purposes. Under Apple's definition this counts as tracking.
On iOS the app asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking takes place. If you decline, ads are still shown but they are not personalised. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a US state with applicable privacy laws, the app shows a consent message from Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are loaded. There you choose which purposes and which advertising partners you accept.
You can review or withdraw your choices at any time using the privacy options button inside the app, shown next to the MEL Calculator heading.
Other Apps
The app links to our other aviation tools on the App Store and Google Play. Opening one of those links hands you over to the store app; we do not receive any personal data from it.
Photos and Local Data
If you choose to capture or attach a Tech Log photo, it is stored locally on your device. We do not upload photos to any server.
PDF Export and Sharing
The app can generate a PDF report locally on your device. Sharing (email, WhatsApp, etc.) only happens if you explicitly choose to export/share using your device’s share options.
Purchases (Pro Version)
Pro purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play. We do not collect or store payment details. The store may provide the app with a non-personal entitlement status to unlock Pro features.
Permissions
The app may request permission to access photos/media (to save or attach Tech Log photos) and storage (to create/export PDFs). You can manage permissions anytime in your device settings.
